Installing Nagios


pkg_add(8) to the rescue!

All of the configuration files are placed in /etc/nagios
(/etc/nagios is a symlink to /var/www/conf/nagios ... so, don't be like me and think that just tar -cf /tmp/etc.tar /etc is sufficient for a backup!)

cgi.cfg - options for the CGIs
minimal.cfg - the name is misleading ... should be notveryminimal.cfg
nagios.cfg - primary configuation file
resource.cfg - macros of some sort. i have never used it, heh
