Nagios - Notifications

Notifications are the whole point of Nagios.

Again, it can get really complicated because of the flexibility of the configuration files.

How? Well, you define contacts and can group them into contact groups ('glgtso', 'psf616', etc?)

That's not it. You can define *when* notifications go out.

Finally, you can define how. Most of you will probably use email. The Mars people used AIM for a while. We are working on using Jabber so we can tie it in to our Apple Open Directory network.
